Which local network here last time had the best coverage? Best as in feeding continued new information, not rolling fluff interviews or replays after replay.

I think I will just YouTube live some of the US networks tomorrow arvo.

ABC had very good coverage last time, had packages detailing key states, Casey Briggs with analysis on data from various polls about issues impacting American’s + Antony Green calling some safe states early before the polls closed & US networks called them. They also had a very good set in the foyer of the Ultimo studios. Were the only one’s AFAIK that didn’t simulcast one of the US networks during it’s coverage.

The US Election 2024 – SBS World News & PBS News Special presented by SBS’s Janice Petersen will begin with an hour of US election coverage from the SBS World News team before crossing to the PBS News Election 2024 Special which is co-anchored by Amna Nawaz and Geoff Bennett.

The PBS News Election 2024 special will be broadcast LIVE from Shirlington, Virginia on Tuesday 5 November. It will feature continuous coverage from every jurisdiction as polls close for the Presidential, Vice Presidential, House of Representatives and Senate elections.

Tune into SBS VICELAND on Wednesday 6 November from 4:45pm AEDT for the final hours of the SBS World News & PBS News Special which will air in-place of the usual PBS NewsHour repeat broadcast.

PBS News Announces Election 2024 Special Coverage Plans

PBS News will provide live special coverage of the 2024 presidential and congressional elections on PBS stations and streaming on PBS News’ digital and social platforms on Tuesday, November 5, beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Co-anchored by Amna Nawaz and Geoff Bennett, coverage will include reporting from PBS News Hour Capitol Hill and Trump campaign correspondent Lisa Desjardins; White House and Harris campaign correspondent Laura Barrón-López from the Harris campaign headquarters; national correspondent William Brangham from the Trump campaign headquarters; national correspondent and PBS News Weekend anchor John Yang in Pennsylvania; correspondent and PBS News Hour West anchor Stephanie Sy in Arizona; correspondent Miles O’Brien in Georgia; senior correspondent Judy Woodruff; and several PBS station reporters in multiple states across the country.

Analysis will be provided by editor-in-chief of the Cook Political Report Amy Walter, Republican strategist Kevin Madden, Democratic strategist Faiz Shakir, Washington Post associate editor Jonathan Capehart and New York Times op-ed columnist David Brooks.

Live stream coverage will extend online to PBS News’ site, and its YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok channels. Coverage will include a digital preshow beginning at 12:00 p.m. ET on Election Day, programmed until at least 2:00 a.m. ET, with pre-produced video and graphics running into the morning, when PBS News will launch a special, morning show stream featuring live reporting by PBS News Hour talent. That special will stream live each morning that week beginning on Wednesday, as is warranted by election-related news.

Reporting and fact-checking from The Poynter Institute’s PolitiFact will be featured across PBS News’ digital platforms.

Results for the presidential, House of Representatives, Senate and gubernatorial elections will be announced as they are called by The Associated Press.
