TV Tonight mentions that there will be a cross to local newsrooms for the rest of the days news during the 7pm news.
It will also include local news, sport and weather from the ABC’s State and Territory newsrooms.

In Hong Kong, TVB Pearl cleared their decks from 6am to 7.30pm HKT for live coverage from NBC News, which is quite easy to do given how bare their daytime schedule is, but still astonishing by TVB standards.
Cantonese ViuTV will air an hour-long special on the election at 3pm - a strange timeslot that I doubt anyone would watch!
No special programming yet on other TVB channels, ViuTV6, the HoyTV channels or Phoenix TV.

During the 7pm news, there was a sneak peak at the ABC’s set during the cross to Casey Briggs - touch screen, as well as a massive videowall, were shown.

Am I reading this wrong, or is Seven delaying its coverage into Queensland and South Australia? Or just Sunrise & TMS, and crashing into the AEDT feed an hour late?

Nope - Usher and Angela Cox are hosting, with Hugh Whitfeld interviewing guests in the studio, and Tim Lester and Mylee Hogan at the candidates camps, along with Natalie Barr and David Woiwod also reporting from the US.
Amor also wasn’t invovled in 2020 either, with Usher and Cox also hosting that year - Amor did however host the 2016 election from Martin Place with Usher.

NBC News and MSNBC are opting for virtual studios, that make them look like they’re coming from outside 30 Rock and the White House respectively.
