Disappointing SBS isn’t showing the BBC election coverage. I really want to watch it in HD, but looks like I’ll have to rely on Foxtel.

While all of the sets and graphics are always interesting, the highlight of UK election coverage for me every time is the declaration of the polls in each electorate as a bunch of very serious and solemn looking candidates are flanked by other candidates in outrageous costumes. And the media just having to roll with it as if there’s nothing at all strange going on before our eyes.
Boris flanked by Elmo and Count Binface in 2019 was wonderful. Such a great British tradition and sense of humour.
