Ratings survey
There wasn’t much difference between the calendar year and the ratings survey period with respect to best daily results for each network.
Seven’s best day across 2023 was Friday, consistent with previous years’ results boosted by its AFL coverage with the network performing better on every day compared to the previous year.
Thanks to Sunday reality and 60 Minutes, Nine’s best day was again Sunday however from Sunday to Wednesday the network’s share was down. By contrast NRL days Thursday to Saturday were considerably better year-on-year.
ABC’s best result was Saturday again. Sunday was notable for an almost 1 point improvement on 2022 while Tuesday was also up on 2022. Falls were seen on other days.
10’s best result was Monday with shares for five days lower than the previous year. Saturday improved with the A League moved off the main channel and Wednesday was slightly higher.
SBS did best on Saturday but was unable to reach the double figures of 2022. All days were lower except Wednesday that was even.
