This Friday (November 18) and next Friday (November 25), ABC News Channel will air a 30-minute show Victoria Votes: Campaign Trail at 8.30pm AEDT. In each episode, RN Breakfast host Patricia Karvelas is joined by Antony Green, Casey Briggs and ABC News reporters for a look at the issues, policies, candidates and seats that may decide who governs Victoria.

I think Nine is airing a very special episode of Postcards where Livinia visits Matthew Guy and has lunch with his family.

Excellent investigation by Peta Credlin into Daniel Andrews tonight.

He is such a shonk and his actions have been vile. Bring on the election.

Doesnā€™t belong in the same sentence.

Completely agree. She is one of few journalists who have held Andrews to account. Shame the majority of the press pack in Victoria are gutless and weak.

Sheā€™s not a journalist. She is a partisan political commentator who is hardly going to present a balanced portrait of someone from her opposing philosophy.

Not a journalist. Not even close.

A journalist is an individual that collects/gathers information in form of text, audio, or pictures, processes them into a news-worthy form, and disseminates it to the public.

The above is exactly what Peta did tonight in her investigation, and this new social media era has proven you donā€™t have to obtain a journalism degree to be a journalist. Is Leo Puglisi a journalist, for example?

She claims to do that but she doesnā€™t go through the ā€˜processes into a news-worthy formā€™. Most of it are from whistleblowers and her own think tank copied straight out of Tony Abbott and the National right faction of the Liberals. How is she even relevant in this field considering her political stint was in Federal parliament and she worked for a Coalition PM?

Canā€™t call her a journalist when her track record is bashing Labor/Green politicians and trying to push a deliberate conservative angle in virtually everything.

A political hit piece is not an investigation.

Thereā€™s nothing wrong with Dan Andrews. Heā€™s a highly regarded premier who does a good job for Victoria: a very successful and prosperous state.

From a media perspective, heā€™s also copped a lot of bashing from different media sources (The Age for example) so itā€™s quite rich for FootyKick to say that theyā€™re all gutless and weak.

Time to get off the unhealthy love for Peta and News Corp everything.

When do you hear 7, 9, 10, ABC etc. relentlessly pursue the truth at press conferences? The only ones who are persistently asking the tough questions are Peta, Rachel Baxendale and Julia Bradley, amongst select others.

Haha. The CBD is dead post covid. Victoriaā€™s debt continues to rise. 801 dead from hotel quarantine. Ambulance, hospital and triple zero crisis. The state has become completely divided over the last couple of years.

No. She went for the throat of a man she despises. A journalist, above all else ā€“ should present facts, without fear or favour, and never take sides.

This was a well oiled hit job.

Have you been personally affected by Dan Andrews that induced your hatred for him or is it because youā€™ve been exposed to too much crap from News Corp and Matthew Guy that you canā€™t see anything good in the current government?

Cynically I feel like youā€™re writing what youā€™ve written to either get a reaction or youā€™re completely oblivious to the reality.

I appreciate weā€™re in the wrong thread, but no, nothing to do with being personally affected or exposed to News Corp, Iā€™m simply viewing the current state of affairs and making a judgement on what is happening in Victoria.

If your perception of what Victoria is at the moment is all that then surely Victoria would be like Armageddon or an Apocalyptic state with criminals running amok, people dying on the streets, martial law, towns burning and riots and all that jazz.

Any of that happening in Victoria? Crickets

The only people that have created this ā€˜alternate universeā€™ is those at News Corp, headlined by that Credlin and Rita Panahi with Matthew Guy and formerly Tim Smith as the supporting attack dog.

Federal government under Scomo had a part in this too.

Thatā€™s been happening forever and neither side have done anything productive until recently.

Moderators please move this to the appropriate topic if necessary.
