2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games Coverage

Hoping the Ceremonies are better than the last two Olympics Ceremonies which both were underwhelming and boring.

Opening Ceremony is not too long to go. First opened Opening Ceremony since Gold Coast 2018 and Lima 2019.

That’s shorter?

Nine - not a lot of coverage yet

First seen live in 5am news then a prerecord during afternoon.

Is there any broadcast of the Queens Baton Relay?

I wouldn’t get your hopes up unless you’re a Duran Duran fan. That said maybe they’ll be a surprise. Glasgow 2014 was awful, but going back to Manchester 2002 that was surprisingly charming, and just a couple of hours IIRC.

I assume Seven are replaying the Opening Ceremony at a more reasonable hour?

Yes they will - at 1:00pm in the afternoon in all markets.

Seems my fears were unfounded - a surprisingly good opening programme to the ceremony.

Surely they could at least stretch to a desk in the studio. Three of them just standing in an empty space does not look great.
