There are bigger issues at hand with this channel. The sooner the whole channel is only comedy shows the better. A very confused channel the poor thing. Got no identity.

They should never have renamed it as Comedy. They canât stick to only being Comedy or only Drama. There are a lot of other genres they screen that are neither Comedy or Drama.

They should change it back to 10 Peach Comedy. That way you get the best of both worlds.

Letâs go back to a Year far away called 2011 with Channel 11 a hip entertainment channel with hot new shows like Dollhouse,So you think can dance,glee,9210,The strain, American Horror Story,Dexter,The 4400, Donât trust the bitch in Apartment 15 and others?

Who has the rights to Modern Family?
I donât think anyone does? They should look at the Comedy Channelâs schedule on Foxtel/Binge. A lot of variety of old and new. Thatâs what this channel should strive for.

Seven had the rights until the end of last year. They use to play it on 7flix quite a lot.

Iâm not so sure this is the general rule, I mean if the networks waved the cash $$$$$$$ the studios might comply with more popular or premium titles?
AFAIK no network currently airs it nor has it on their bvod, whether itâs unavailable currently or a broadcaster is unable to afford the fees. Disney via Fox distribute the series. Itâs available on svod Disney Plus and to buy (episodes or seasons) on tvod platforms such as iTunes.
It was last on Seven (7flix) in late afternoons/early evenings a few years ago. They got it from Ten when Fox terminated their output in 2017 and went back to Seven in early 2018.
Disney has the rights, since the show is on Disney+.

The networks are struggling with finances. They canât throw big dollars to fill a multichannel with very few viewers.

Sure.
But itâs not just about âmulti-channelsâ. Video-on-demand is also where itâs at and if TV networks can strike agreements for shows with streaming rights, it may well be worth it. They can sit in their digital library for x amount of months of a year or two and drive content depth, fill more advertiser spots and promote other content on the network. And as a bonus also be run on a multi-channel on broadcast.
This is what weâve seen 9Now and especially 7Plus recently, successfully (going off the VOZ VPM shares even on days when theyâve done poorly with broadcast reality shows) doing.
So while money may be tight and advertising market weak and we always seem to focus on the traditional terrestrial channels, I think we forget just how fast vod has been growing and where value can be extracted better at the right price.
Yes modern family is an obvious one that should be on 10 comedy. As should the office and shows like Abbott elementary, parks and recreation etc.
They need to fight viewer fatigue for the few shows that currently have on high rotation.
Also need the more one off things on 10 comedy like stand up shows, roasts, prank shows (from around the world) SNL on Saturdayâs, etc etc. then they can also air international versions of comedy shows like taskmaster etc.
it canât be that hard to get some of this stuff. They literally just arenât trying.

Sully does make a point. You need to spend money to make money. If 10 had more premium titles, perhaps shows like The Dog House and Ambulance could be on a secondary channel. Twenty five years ago, these shows would have been daytime content filler like Totally Australia was. Speaking of Totally Australia, that and Totally Wild could feature on a secondary channel as Australian content filler, should they rename the secondary channels again.
10Comedy could be renamed 10CARRIAGE - the carriage part being an acronym like Gem.

G - General
E - Entertainment

Renaming from 10Comedy should lessen the exposure to criticism - plus how can they make up the money lost for advertorials on these channels?

I think if they just added a Y to 10 Peach, and called it 10 Peachy, people would actually like the name. 10 Peachy Comedy fits better with 10 Bold Drama too.
They seem to show a lot of older titles, maybe something like 10 rewind could work?
Ah yes and have late night nudity with the tagline âenjoy the peachâ on 10peachy

Because 10 doesnât have enough of a genre to fill a channel dedicated to said genre.
Actually, more than enough. Just behind P+.
Thatâs why itâs the only FTA broadcaster with only one channel âawakeâ, so to speak, overnight.
