Better change my set recording, thanks.
WTF is that voiceover?
An attempt to skew young. He has also voiced some 10 Shake promos @foxyrover
Early guides for next Sunday morning show repeats of Family Ties, Fam, Will and Grace and Rules of Engagement replacing the children’s shows.
It works for them but not 10Peach. Sounds like it’s recorded on a shitty phone recorder.
You wouldn’t have known it was (most likely) the final new episode of Scope to be shown on 10 Peach if you were watching this morning. Talk about utterly hopeless and/or simply not caring about promoting their locally produced kids shows!
While I obviously hope this will not be the case, it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if Crocamole, Totally Wild and Scope (the latter mightn’t be quite the same with Isla as it was with Lee, but I’d still like to see it continue nonetheless) eventually go the way of Toasted TV. Which is sad, because Australian kids deserve and need shows with local stories, education and humour. As fun as they may be, the US Nickelodeon programs like Spongebob aren’t going to do things specifically relevant to children in this country like promote the Kids Helpline!
We were told Crocamole has already ended production.
Yes, Crocodile wrapped almost 18 months ago and a new preschool show is due to commence soon.
As for TW and Scope, they’re still going and produced on such a shoestring budget that they’ll be there for as long as the government regulates kids programming.
Is this preschool show gonna be on 10 shake?
I’d assume so.
I watched an episode of Fresh Off The Boat the other week. And there is something I don’t quite understand. They keep referring to themselves as Chinese. Yet they are from Taiwan. I have a friend from Taiwan and there is no way he would refer to himself as Chinese. I even remember an episode where Eddy needed to do a class project on a country and he wanted to research Jamaica but Jessica wanted him to research his country being China. Why didn’t she choose Taiwan? I thought it might have had something to do with the setting of the show but it was set in the 90’s and Taiwan was independent in 1949. Is there something I am missing?
Yeah. I’ve read a few articles that the vast majority of younger Taiwanese see themselves as Taiwanese not Chinese, as does a majority of the population.
I could be throwing straws here, has the series ever aired in China?
The final seven episodes of Supernatural will air at 11pm Fridays from tonight.
Shocking timeslot, but whatever, at least it’s airing
It’s deliberately timed after the AFL and the NRL finals.
No promotion whatsoever and 10’s guide still says Charmed is airing at 11pm.
Why bother announcing they would have an update about an air date soon, only to fast track it (yay) but with absolutely no notice.
Sure, good point. But late night is still late night.
I’m sure that has absolutely nothing to do with it.
