Math. Science. History. Are you ready to unravel the mystery?
Then mark your calendars, because our favourite pack of science-buffs are making a quantum leap over to 10 Peach!
Starting 8pm weeknights from Monday, 14 September, 10 Peach is home to Emmy Award-winning series The Big Bang Theory, in all it’s scientific glory. Our gang of geeks will join sitcom favourites Friends , Seinfeld and 2 Broke Girls, making 10 Peach the best destination to satisfy your sitcom cravings.
From meeting the brilliant physicists who understand how the universe works, but have no clue how to interact with people; to the high-stakes drama of Rock, Paper, Scissors, Spock and the soothing, melodic notes of Soft Kitty ; the show that has it all, is back with a bang!
So put down your Mystic Warlords of Ka’a cards and get ready to fall in love with Sheldon, Leonard, Raj, Amy, Bernadette, Howard and knock, knock Penny all over again.
And looking at the infograph publicly available on TVT and TVB for last week’s ratings, 9Go was beaten in 16-39s by 7mate, 10 Peach and even 7flix again (also 25-54s).
Not sure what’s going on there in recent months, surely not just due to TBBT out of schedule. Perhaps once loyal viewers have become tired of the same old re-runs over and over?
Ten rewriting the cast order for publicity purposes. Leonard, Sheldon, Penny, Howard and Raj is the order of the original main cast. Then Bernadette and Amy.
It was clearly a question, but currently Seinfeld airs at 8pm so if TBBT is moving into that timeslot soon then obviously Seinfeld is out or being bumped to another time.
According to its Advance Schedule for w/c September 13, with The Big Bang Theory to air at 8-9:30pm weeknights from next Monday, Seinfeld will move to 9:30pm, with Two And a Half Men (Mondays & Thursdays), Mom (Tuesdays) & 2 Broke Girls (Wednesdays) starting at 10pm.
The channel is also schedule to encore air the past week’s eps of The Big Bang Theory on weekend evenings, at least on a Saturday.
Not sure why 10 Peach needs to show triple episodes of The Big Bang Theory each weeknight? The first 11 seasons has 255 episodes, thus it will take only four months to reach the season 11 finale.
It’s often one of the best rating shows in the demos, which would help it’s already demo friendly line-up of old sitcoms - I think you’ll find that’s the answer.
Though rather than reverting to Seinfeld at 9:30pm, it would be nice to see them air some newer content off the back of TBBT.
Charmed, This Is Us, The Unicorn, The Connors, Supernatural, other The CW shows etc.
I reckon any of the new CBS comedies that is destined for 10 in the future should go to Peach instead. Fits the profile of the channel well and won’t clog up any of 10’s main channel slots.
I like 10 Peach’s strategy (sitcom channel almost 24/7), also guarantees good value from the no doubt expensive investment of securing all these rights.
However fatigue is a concern, have to be careful not to lose viewers after a while, especially with little programming/timeslot changes as we’ve seen.
In comparison, similar demo performing channels (especially in 16-39s) such as 7mate, 7flix and 9Go! have variety day-to-day, especially the former two, even 9Go! has always had the nightly movie strategy and no TV shows on weekends.
