Are they AR graphics?
And is that screen on the left of the videowall usually there too?
Are they AR graphics?
And is that screen on the left of the videowall usually there too?
I don’t think so as they have the reflection from the lights above
Yes its always there, I wish they used it more, Its on all of the TVNZ Shows that come from that side of the studio
They use it lots on Sunday and Fair Go (when it’s in the studio)
Yes it’s AR
TVNZ is rebuilding its newsroom and will be moving away from iNews to DiNA.
“With DiNA, TVNZ journalists can work in an easy to use browser-based tool for all their news planning, story creation, collaboration, and to publish to all platforms, both linear and digital.”

So where will they be doing the live crossing as the newsroom is being rebuild? I will they go to the studio but sit on the 1News desk and report?
Sounds more like an IT sort of changeover rather than a physical rebuild. The whole TVNZ television centre had a significant multi-million dollar refurbishment not long ago.
So will we see a change on screen? like the backdrop and graphics?
Highly doubt it
iNEWS is the computer application that most newsrooms use to write, store and archive scripts. This includes story lists, rundowns and contacts. It’s more of a behind-the-scenes change, that would’ve cost TVNZ a lot of money.
Just before I left TVNZ, a panel of 1News reporters and producers did a couple of days a week - learning how to use the new Dina system - and they’ll be teaching the rest of the newsroom team.
1 News Budget Promo
I hope INews @6pm will be live from wellington today
I find it really stupid that Simons in Wellington for the budget. It would have been better to just have Jessica Mutch-McKay just start the bulletin from Wellington on her own then once all things budget are covered, cross back to Simon behind his auto cue in Auckland
Why is the text of the ticker centered rather than to the left like it usually is? It just looks off.
New reporter on @6pm today covering the bikes on Auckland’s bridge
Simon Mercep - former One News reporter from the 1990s then fill-in business host then moved to RNZ for Morning Report and Afternoons
Simon’s just filling in at the moment, as former Good Morning host Sarah Bradley has too. Auckland reporters short on weekends.
