Have found a couple of plugins but I’ve also been wanting to find a decent way without having to build my own which I’ll never get around to thanks to my inability to ever get started on projects so hopefully someone has something easy!
I loved using Eric Lofgren’s java-based XMLTV viewer before I started writing the code for it myself. It’s quite outdated now and current browsers won’t load it locally due to cross-origin security issues, but it might work on a web server?

I’ve never managed to find a similar project that does a typical EPG grid style like that one.

This might not be completely appropriate to this thread - but this week my Plex recorder is not pulling any guide information.
All programs are listed as “Unknown Airing”.
Says its pulling from “Freeview - Geelong”. Tried “Freeview - Melbourne” with the same result.
Doesn’t even recognise the separate “9Go! HD” channel, only lists the SD version.
Not sure if its something specific to my setup or with the Freeview guide.
Does this XMLEPG provide a URL where I could try load this XML view into my Plex guide?

Problem on Plex was worldwide. Plex have now fixed, so you can revert to their Freeview EPG now as I have done.

I was being driven mad thinking something on Freeview’s end stuffed up. Didn’t realise Plex had control over fetching the programme guides.

I ended up starting! Thanks to ChatGPT and a crash course in React, I’ve been chipping away at this for a fortnight - still, a decent amount of work to go (the colours aren’t final form)
At this stage, I’m thinking it will be selfhosted in Docker

You’d be able to host it for free on Vercel you can connect it to a private Github repository. No docker involved and probably cheaper too.

That’s a possibility - because it’s relying on an XMLTV file that is local, it makes it a bit more challenging (but achievable)

- LCN 8 in WA is now ‘9HD’
- ‘Gold Coast’ is removed off 7Bravo for LCN 75
- Some other issues with Loxton and Mt. Gambier

Thanks for the feedback. Fixed the WA and Gold Coast issues. I assume the Mt Gambier and Loxton issues were incorrect screen resolutions for 10Bold and 7HD, so fixed them too.

Love your epg guide but just checking is there anyway I can hide the FTA radio and shopping channels that I don’t care about?
Also I would love to be able to merge my local FTA channels with the Foxtel sport channels onto one page? I don’t really need the rest of the Foxtel stuff.
