WIN News is scheduled to start at 6:02 and it’s pre-recorded so it all depends on the network’s timing with the weather. If they go overtime it will just cut off.
That transition was quite seamless compared to the day before though!

What’s wrong with that?
WIN is a mess. Isn’t this the only time they use this logo?
I’d say it’s a template provided by 10.
They use it on most of their presentation including sponsor cards and promos. Their main channel watermark and WIN-produced holiday/promotional promos have mappy.
On WIN News Tasmania tonight:
You ready for a move @Leo_Puglisi6?
He’ll be there in 5 years or so.
Hopefully broadcast tv news is still going by then
As someone who lives in North Queensland I can report that I have not seen any sandflies or crocs in my time here!
Thanks to a scheduling error, I recorded two Tasmania promos that aired by mistake in Canberra:
And two Canberra promos:
Watching this video is making me feel ready to hear some local news
Edit: Yes, I know it’s production music
Um… You axed it remember? June 2019. Bruce must be waiting for another affiliate change so he can bring it back.
WIN Television is unlikely to bring back local news to Mackay, wide bay, Riverina, central west, regional WA, regional SA and Albury regardless of affiliate.
Although they can introduce 90 Second Noodle Updates again.
If the Nine affiliation moved from SCA to WIN, what if WIN came to an agreement for Nine to do the news with the current Nine News Local switching from SCA to WIN?
I don’t think it’s worth discussing this hypothetical situation.
I also don’t think it’s ever likely that any regional broadcaster would re-introduce previously axed local news bulletins.
If people are already used to not having the service, and it’s saving them money not to have it… they’re hardly ever going to re-introduce it.
Agreed.
If the affiliation switch of 2016 was reversed, we’d likely see Nine News Local axed and WIN News probably back on at 7pm in the markets which still get a local bulletin from them. WIN is perhaps the one regional TV network (aside from maybe NBN) which values its independence too greatly to allow Nine in the metro markets to run a local news service for them - at least moreso than Prime & SCA anyway.
