How do you get “plenty” out of “remote?”

Spencer Gulf/Broken Hill has a flood of local ads, on Seven at least. Some communities within that license area are probs considered “remote” so surely you’d expect the same on 7 Central?
Spencer Gulf/Broken Hill is a solus market, with about 75k population. One network has the entire advertising share. Mt Isa and Alice Springs, which is where the RCEA networks are based, is a dual market. 2 networks compete for advertising in a smaller market.
7 Central and Imparja would have about 50% commercial advertising and 50% CSA’s, last time I checked. 10 Central is almost entirely CSA’s.
It should be noted that there is no difference to advertising between the North and South splits. They take different schedules, but show advertising from Alice and Mt Isa.

I can concur with this … I’ve seen quite a few hours of the VAST South feed on 7 Central and 9 Imparja and there were very few ads specifically targeted for remote NSW/SA viewers.
Nearly all of them were for QLD/NT businesses, but not just Mt Isa or Alice Springs, some were for Katherine and Townsville businesses… Townsville probably being because some VAST North viewers probably travel to Townsville for business related or other reasons.
One I recall seeing was a furniture store in Katherine and others were for agricultural equipment or heavy duty tow bars in Townsville. Some of them were the same ads repeated quite a few times.

WAtv, this is a request. Can you do Average TV Day: VAST Victoria July 2025 from channels 1 to 801? If not, at least the 2023-present Regional News Guide?

The VAST Info channel from 2010 to 2015(?) or 2019(?) reminds me of my childhood and out actually calms me down when I’m angry or when I want to go to sleep. The same for the scenic loop. I even go to sleep easy when I go through all the channels like an Average TV Day.

Oh yeah, speaking of, I hope WATVVideos, the master of average tv days, I really hope he takes my request soon on YouTube. I also hope he bought the satellite dish that works for VAST East Coast excluding WA!
