Netflix’s cancelled series One Day At A Time has been saved by Pop TV (owned by CBS) in the US

Does Ten have a distribution deal with CBS?

One would think it is the only traditional output deal left. Ten would have first dibs on anything from CBS studios. And seeing as though they are owned by CBS it makes sense.

I was pretty sure 10 had a distribution deal with CBS so there probably wouldn’t have been a bidding process.

Don’t like it being on the main channel. Keep it on peach.

ABC is the last major network to reveal the fall premiere dates. The new season of The Good Doctor kicks off on September 23 followed by The Conners on September 24, and the final season of Modern Family on September 25. Expect these three shows to be fasttracked here.

The drama series Euphoria currently screening on Foxtel Showcase renewed for season 2 by HBO

How to Get Away with Murder, currently screening on 7flix, will finish at the end of the sixth season.

How did they get away with stretching that show to six seasons.

Game of Thrones breaks the previous record set by NYPD Blue (26 nominations in 1994).
The 2019 Primetime Emmy Awards will be held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on September 22, and shown live on Fox8 on Foxtel on September 23, Australian time.

Mario switching programs.

Will and Grace is ending once at for all, after 11 seasons. Here is the tweet by co-creator Max Mutchnick:

The final season will air on NBC in January 2020 and should be streamed here by Stan soon after.

The pickup comes despite soft linear ratings, although the series has attracted a younger and more female audience than is typical for CBS.

The average Love Island viewer is about eight years younger than CBS’ audience as a whole, and the show has performed respectably among women under 35.

Is she the one Mary Hart got shafted for?

Bring back Mary. Better yet, bring back Leeza Gibbons!

Correct.

Who says Mary Hart got shafted? Didn’t she choose to retire?

Always liked Mary Hart and watched a lot of ET through the Bob Goen years.

Probably for the best Mary stepped down though…

This was also the subject on a Seinfeld episode, “The Good Samaritan”, where Kramer triggered a seizure upon hearing Mary Hart’s voice, causing himself injury.

Jerry: Entertainment Tonight’s on.

(Theme music plays on TV, Kramer walks in, waves at Jerry and Elaine, then
walks over to Jerry’s bookshelf, dancing to the music. Voice of Mary Hart
starts on TV and Kramer starts having a wild seizure behind the sofa.)
Jerry: What’s it like out?

(Kramer continues to shake behind sofa)
Elaine: Chilly out.

Jerry: Can I take a sweater?

Elaine: Yeah, you can take a sweater if you want to.

Jerry: Scarf?

Elaine: Nah, hey, shut this off, shut it off.

(Jerry and Elaine finally notice Kramer as he finishes)
Jerry: What’s the matter? What’s going on?

(Kramer is looking around like he’s lost)
Kramer: What happened?!

Elaine: What?

Kramer: I think I hit my head again!

Jerry: What is wrong?!

(Elaine is pointing at the TV)
Elaine: Hey, hey, wait a minute! Let me ask you something. Kramer, the last
time you hit your head, was Mary Hart on TV?

Kramer: Yeah.

(Elaine claps her hands together then stands up)
Elaine: That is it!

Kramer: What?

(Elaine walks toward Kramer pointing her finger at him)
Elaine: That is it! Mary Hart’s voice, don’t you see? There’s something
about Mary Hart’s voice that’s giving you seizures. Just like, just like,
just like that woman in Albany!

And

(Scene moves to outside Becky’s apartment. Kramer is walking toward her
door, hair slicked back, with a bouquet of flowers in his hand. He knocks on
her door, she opens. Mary Hart’s voice is playing on the TV in the distance.
Kramer starts having a violent seizure.)
