I’ve flown on Airbus A320s more than any other aircraft type .I hope they fix this problem

Under the proposed new rules, the inclusion of five years’ worth of social media data would also become a mandatory part of ESTA applications.

Applicants would also have to submit other “high-value data fields” including phone numbers from the last five years, email addresses from the past decade, personal details of family members and biometric information.

This measure will deter many foreigners from visiting the US for next year’s World Cup and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Agree, I’m now inclined to not visit the US again until Trump’s presidency finishes up… hopefully the next president will wind back some of his decisions.

That’s stating the obvious.

So much for the ‘Land of the Free Speech and where they supposedly have a hard on for the 1st Amendment’…

I have a number of friends working on Brisbane 2032. they were asked to go to LA28 as observers to learn and a few have refused as they are LGBT or have posted left things online

Lots of advice this morning for visitors to the US not to take their primary phone with them and if they do expect to have a request for access if password protected and if not provided have it confiscated. Take a burner.

What a snowflake.

Can ICE have an extensive review of his social media records, just for the sake of ‘balance’ and ‘fairness’?

Brisbane Airport unveils game-changing security skywalk to slash travel times

A game-changing airport upgrade promises to slash waiting times for millions of travellers as Brisbane Airport braces for record-breaking holiday passenger numbers.

From Thursday afternoon, travellers with carry-on luggage (and online check-in) will be able to walk straight from the domestic terminal car park into a new state-of-the-art security screening station without having to take objects such as laptops out of their bags.

Passengers can access the new security screen sector via the “skywalk” and then onwards to their departure gate without having to change levels in a move expected to slash wait times during busy periods.

WTF???

Yep, I decided to change my rotations of overseas holidays because of Trump. I’ll just wait to go again when there’s a democrat in power. I’m just going to rotate through Europe and Asia for my overseas trips for the next few years.

I think I’ll stick to Australia mostly for the next year or two. A trip to Dubai could be an option.

We’re similar. We’re also in a difficult boat that we have a friend who lives in Canada who sadly is unwell and we’d love to see sooner rather than later. Logically, if you’re flying all the way to Canada, you’d cross into the US while you’re there, even for a part, but neither of us have any desire to enter there right now.

We’ll probably still do the trip at some point, but just stick to the land of poutine. But it’s just sad it’s like this.

I’d also advise just sending a word “I’m fine” back home every single day.

You never know when you will be ICEd.

Due to limited funds I have no choice except trips within Australia :confused:or I might go on more road trips instead

You’re lucky in that Air Canada fly from BNE-YVR direct, so no need to transit the Flawed Democracy to visit the land of Chilliwack, toques and poutine.

I wonder if you could still get to Point Roberts (exclave of the US only accessible through Canada) without all that. It’s frankly quite scary and despite our climate risks, happy to be down here in the Southern Hemisphere.
