Yes I went to Jordan a few years ago and honestly it exceeded my expectations. We did it in 4 or 5 days I think and booked a private tour which was quite cheap. Literally had our own driver take us from place to place with accommodation included.
In that time you can do the main things - Amman (only really need a full day there), Petra and Dead sea. Plus many stops at sights along the way if you do a tour / private driver like we did. Petra actually blew my mind, far exceeded my expectations and is still one of the most amazing places Iâve seen. One thing didnât get to was Wadi Rum, which I believe is worthwhile so add another day or two if you want to do that.
I was actually recently looking into potentially going to Oman later this year as it looks to have a similar feel to Jordan. Iâm going to wait and see how the situation in that part of the world goes before considering that now though.
In Melbourne for 4 nights, staying at the Australia 108 building, a couple of pics of the view from my room on Level 66.
Just wondered in the 2nd pic, what the cluster of high rises just in front of the left hand side of the Dandenongs is? Is that Box Hill?
Yes thatâs Box Hill. A number of high rises have been constructed in the precinct in the past decade.
Here is a recent photo I have found on the net.
No, thatâs Chappell Street. Channel 10 is located in that precinct.
Box Hill is further out. .
The airline has released a statement saying that, on Monday, it detected unusual activity on a third-party platform used by a Qantas airline contact centre.
The airline said 6 million customers had service records in this platform.
Qantas said it was investigating the proportion of the data that had been stolen, though it expected it would be âsignificantâ.
An initial review confirmed the data included some customersâ names, email addresses, phone numbers, birth dates and frequent flyer numbers, the airline said.
The news came on the same day that Qantasâ first Airbus A321XLR landed at Sydney Airport, after flying from Hamburg with a stopover at Bangkok.
