They are the middle of what is becoming a very fierce weather system - they are probably trying their best to do their jobs while making sure they are safe. Probably might also not be able to hear directions from the control room, etc, over the sound of wind, etc

That was I’m about to say. They’re waking up in godly hours to give us updates and information. So kudos to all the breakfast shows.

Not inaccurate at all. Every cross was filled with awkward silence. The AirBnB story irrelevant - read the terms and conditions before booking. The blow back Alfred segment ridiculous.

Yes and people are living through it so provide useful information during a crisis rather than waffle.

Karl with Sarah or Ali,
impossible for Clint to be there due to no flights, probably in the studio

Like that a lot of reporters are reporting from their own homes. Keeps them safe and with family whilst also giving an authentic feeling to their reports

Hearing a fair bit of Karl/Sarah talking to the crew or control room this morning, returning from ad breaks, during live crosses etc.

Sounds like they’re having some comms issues, not being able to hear - Sarah said earlier in a cross that they’ve been without power for the last 24 hours or so.

Yeah coming back from a break Sarah was heard saying something about them having lost the autocue. We then barely saw them for the rest of the segment, instead fullscreen vision of the beach and skyline was on screen while they were talking.
