Disagree I think it looks great based on those grabs. The floor would be my only thing to change. Lighter floor would help immeasurably. The farewell for Tim also looked good with the WWOS couch and table. Imagine that space with a floor like NBC Today.
Can’t even compare with NBC. Classy as hell.
Some set elements like the NBC logo on the left (perhaps a stylised Nine logo?), similar to Sunrise having their stripes along the 7 set too.
And a flying boomerang! Why doesn’t anyone have that here?
I am all for hating black floors on morning TV (and that desk too). But I think this is an improvement.
I’m sorry that floor is a lot! Wood on that marble print eek
The right side screen looks a little bit more dull today compared to when Tim had his farewell. They would have been better off with the timber vinyl they use in the soft set in the normal studio.

Both their and GMA’s sets are total crap. There are hardly any physical elements in them besides the desks and couch.
I’d say the screens are one of the few examples in Australia where they are lit correctly. They should appear as close to physical elements/printed panels as possible. The default in Australia is way too bright which makes for a pretty awful viewing expereince at home. If you look at the old 7 twisted metal sets with the rear projection screen, compared to the current era, the old ones have much more warmth and softness to them, which is much much nicer for the human eye.

They wonder why nobody’s watching ![]()
I think Jack was originally from WA before doing his stint as a Today Sydney reporter
Especially with the 3 hour time difference, how hard is it to get someone in the Perth studio to read it instead of someone in Sydney.
