Nothing very special about AFL GF coverage on Today this morning.

Hmm this is BS to me.

Honestly, I think including advertorials on Today will tarnish its reputation like how 10 tarnished the GMA name.

My advice to Nine, leave Today alone. If you want to increase advertorials, I think Nine should air Today until 8:30am, then air Today Extra from 8:30 til 10am with Mornings 10am til midday and move the 11:30am news to midday to compete with Seven News.

Copying NBC’s namesake by adding advertorials

They should trial David ‘Robbo’ Robertson for their weather presenter

ABC America’s GMA which is NBC’s Today main rival in the US also have advertorials in their morning show

All those shows do now, all dressed up as “deals” or whatever for viewers. Even Kelly Clarkson was doing it. Been a thing for years.

my wife, who has been watching today since the days of Steve Liebmann turned off the show on Friday and this morning.

we have no objection to advertorials in and of themselves - hell, Bert was doing them for years on his show. the difference is that it wasn’t Bert doing them.

its hard to take a host seriously when they are spruking oddies or ring doorbells and then giving you the news in the next segment.

Totally agree with this. While the program was already limping, they have killed their brand with this.
