I feel like 10 have missed a trick with their FA Cup rights- certainly from the 3rd round onwards there is a lot more interest as that is when the top flight teams first play.

With the 3rd round fixtures tonight and tomorrow night I would have thought that putting a few games on live overnight on 10 or even 10 Bold would have certainly rated better than the usual overnight programming.

Putting the big matches on the linear channel from the 3rd round onwards would’ve been a smart move.

Also it would have been a good way to promote/drive people towards Paramount+ to see the non-broadcast games. For some reason, those games are streaming on 10Play rather than P+ (like they originally planned to)

This season they are on 10Play because P+ wasn’t launched yet when the tournament started.

I saw the end of some strange promo just before the news returned tonight on the Sunshine Coast, seemed liked a 10 Sport promo featuring a few different sports but there was no watermark? Probably a SCA throw together I’m guessing.

Not sure why SC Ten would be producing anything these days unless required by the legislation.

SCA air a lot of cut down promos as fillers in lieu of ad with different audio tracks, most noticeably the 2022 network promo and the long Football on 10 one.

Just trying to find a reason why it wouldn’t have been watermarked, and most logical reason is because I’m watching in regional area as I doubt 10 would do that but I could be wrong.

It definitely featured clips of all their sports - Football, NBL, Melb Cup etc and was just before returning to the 5pm news from an ad break.

Jeez 36ers getting a run. As are the Taipans, and Kings…

I thought 10’s schedule would look a little bit like this:

Friday
9.30am to 6pm on Bold

Saturday
10am to 6pm on 10
6pm to 7pm 10 News First

Sunday
10am to 5pm on 10
5pm to 6.30pm 10 News First

10 have released their F1 schedule. It is a bit underwhelming for my liking, unless its a typo

Friday
12pm to 5.30pm on Bold

Saturday
10am to 5.30pm on 10

Sunday
10am to 5.30pm on 10

Do we know who will be hosting and commentating 10’s broadcast?

I posted above that the F1 race would start at 3pm on Sunday. Assuming it finishes at 4.30pm, that leaves around one hour for post-race presentation, interviews and analysis.

Probably will take Sky’s feed, plus maybe some basic shoulder studio coverage from Rushton or Mackinnon.

that is so sad, a shadow of its former self. I remember 10 use to have quite a lot of hosts/commentators even when they had no Supercar rights. Then again they use to air all Formula 1 races live.

There has been a steep decline in their sporting output in the last decade.

  • Losing The AFL Rights

  • The Failure of ONE HD

  • The Loss of Motorsport to FOXTEL

I guess the only thing they had in the 2010s was the Big Bash but that’s only 6 weeks at the end of the year. But given the overall state of the network throughout the 2010s is it a surprise their sports coverage has fallen off.
