Isn’t this not true in Australia yet?
Where can I watch UFC live events in 2026 in Australia?
Numbered Events (formerly Pay-Per-View)
The main card for all numbered events will continue to be available on Pay-Per-View, exclusive to Main Event on Foxtel and Kayo Sports. Fans do not need a Kayo Sports subscription to order the Pay-Per-View.
All numbered event prelims will be available on Paramount + and Network Ten.
Early prelims will be broadcast on both Paramount + and UFC Fight Pass.
UFC Fight Nights
The main card and all prelims for all UFC Fight Night will be available to watch on Paramount +.
Early prelims will be available on both Paramount + and UFC Fight Pass.
More information on Paramount + in Australia is available here.
Prelims - on 10 and Paramount+
Main Card - Pay Per View through Foxtel and Kayo Sports.
Or go to a pub and watch it there in the one go. lol.
But this UFC is niche, and sure the ratings for the 11am slot will be minuscule for 10.
I’m surprised they think it’s worthy of FTA main channel treatment - might be a contractual thing.
I’m also assuming that it’s a contractual thing. Otherwise it would be on 10 Bold (Drama) like other niche sports.
Sundays Daytime on 10 are suited for heavily sponsored 4WD Travel Shows
Why are 10/Paramount+ giving a free kick to Kayo Sports - a competitor?
Almost certainly a contractual requirement. Common in the US but something i’ve never seen before here.
Why not the other fights on P+/UFC Fight Pass as well as Kayo.
Why specifically Kayo?
In this context, it was more of “if you want to continue watching the rest of this UFC event…”
They will promote what they have but if it’s not much, they can’t do much accordingly.
$59.99 for a premium PPV event. Should be free on Paramount+ as in the US
Dana White says the PPV model is dying
Will most likely happen once the existing Kayo/Fox Sports deal expires. The messaging has been terrible with many international markets expecting the main cards on Paramount+ but still restricted to existing contracts.
It is disappointing Australians still have to fork out on PPV’s
We aren’t the only one’s, New Zealand and Canada I believe are in the same boat. Almost not worth the money anymore.
His right. Boxing has been dying for a long time now and I’ve seen a PPV fight on Foxtel charging $69.99. Who would even bother with that?
It’s a ripoff really paying for PPVs in this age.
With 7 not broadcasting VFL in 2026, maybe it’s an opportunity for 10 to get some sports - probably not good ratings but could fill the void of no Saturday AFL in Victoria for majority of the year with some Saturday afternoon games leading to news?
Even if it’s just the low quality AFL live stream on 10 Drama to start or trying to show off to other sports that they can broadcast sports like they used to
If Seven can’t make them commercially viable, what chance in hell does 10 have?
There’s loss leading when it brings the big audiences, and then there would be this.
7 didn’t want the costs. AFL live streams every match except the 1 match a round that 7 broadcasted.
Maybe 10 can get AFL to do the live stream for all the games and 10 just air 1 game one of those on a Saturday afternoon. They have just have their own off tube commentary if they want or just have the AFL do the whole thing.
This way there is no real big costs. AFL would be wanting a FTA network since 7 didn’t extend so a deal like that could be done if 10 was looking into trying to get them
If you can’t afford or don’t like paying extra to watch UFC numbered events you can always go to a pub or club to watch them, or you can do what I do and watch the Free Fight Marathons* that UFC put up on their YouTube channel on the morning of a numbered event
* compilations of past fights involving fighters appearing in the current numbered event
