The only reason I keep logging into this thread is to hopefully see that this has been cancelled! ![]()
Yeah, just what we need is more redundancies in news. ![]()
Why would you wish for that? Like why be gunning for people to be out of job?
The sliver lining perhaps could be resources deployed elsewhere (eg their main bulletins) if they change strategy. Cancelling a show doesnât necessarily equal redundancies though maybe Iâm being optimistic.
Maybe they could expand and reallocate their resources to timeslots that are actually growing - like the late news and out of 5-7pm and into primetime news where thereâs an audience.
People were cheering when The Project got cancelled and replaced by 10News+
Why were those jobs being lost any different?
I-I-Is this⌠hard-hitting journalism and not the usual stuff I see on their socials? Hooray?
I donât be âgunningâ for anyone to lose their job. What a strange word, gunning! What I am advocating is that the people on this show are deployed to other areas, news and other suitable areas. A lot more people could lose their jobs if 10 continues to let this program drag down their whole channel. This show hasnât worked/will never work in this time slot. A late night program could be built from the remnants of this mess, once or twice weekly maybe. There is a spare hour or so being filled by The Big Bang Theory!
That was also bad. Imagine cheering at people loosing their job.
Wishful thinking I reckon. People would be let go if the show got boned.
So every low rating show should be kept on air to save jobs?
At the end of the day, if itâs making a profit, it will probably stay on air.
itâs not that, itâs about people actively cheering or hoping for people to lose jobs.
If you are referring to me and my post I wasnât " actively cheering" for anyone to lose their job. I would like to see 10âs programs after this show rate higher and IMO itâs not suited to this timeslot and does drag everything else down. Two hours a week in a later timeslot with serious news reporting not this TEMU A Current Affair!
i wasnât referring to you and apologies if it came across that way. I was speaking in a general sense, as in when people were wanting The Project cancelled.
Thank you. I wish theyâd left The Project and didnât start this show. 10 will always have problems with 6pm unless they discover some magical format.
And he, like every other fill in host, is better than the regulars.
Could hear people talking in the background of the opener tonight, someones mic wasnât muted!
Also featuring Georgie Tunny doing an entertainment interview with Adam Lambert, but from her laptop in her kitchen?
Spent all the budget on having two hosts and now running the show on the smell of an oily rag.
