So hard hitting news didn’t work and it’s time to pivot back to news delivered differently.

Later, when he went to Baker’s Delight and they said the first rule of working there was hygiene, he said that was the first rule of working at Channel 10 too.
The he corrected himself and said actually the first rule of working at Channel 10 is "Don’t mention The Project ".

Have the ratings improved at all?
Still hovers around the 150k most days….
Which is not good since its only 30 mins and should have less turn off than when it was an hour. I mean I suppose it’s less often now it falls below 120k and into 5 digits (maybe Fridays it does @TV.Cynic could probably confirm )
It’s no secret that the show rates poorly. But everything 10 airs at 6pm does. Very hard to compete against the News over on Seven and Nine.
Id prefer to see this show turn into a Today Tonight / A Current Affair type of show. Focus on longer pieces of good stories, but also those dodgy neighbours from hell type of stories. Also include a random celebrity interview for some film cross promotion/ red carpet interview. Since there is no Project anymore.
This might slightly boost its ratings to hover towards the 200k mark, instead of the 150k mark. Perhaps?

Will this show end after its first year on air or will it get another chance to be less than mediocre?

The hosts are on reported 2 year contracts so i’d say another 12 months of ratings pain.

2 year contracts? Sigh… Probably also states that this must air sometime between 6 and 7.30pm. Otherwise it would have been bumped to daytime and called it 10 News+ Afternoons or the likes.

Who ever made this concept was really really bad. The Project was much better and more variety.
10 News + is a mix between 7:30, ACA and SBS News. It’s too formal this concept

I still find it odd that the co-hosts do not introduce themselves at the start.

First chance they get, they should rebrand it as “plus”, fix the format, and then start plottng its replacement.
