As expected, no doubt with updates throughout the evening as results become clearer etc.

Good news.

Might be the first time in a hot minute we’ve seen 10 do rolling local news for a market outside Sydney

IIRC they did do coverage for the 2011 floods in Brisbane

That wasn’t under ViacomCBS though

Presumably will come from the main set, one would think.

Hopefully. I’d assume Josh would be providing updates on the Video wall.

Kudos to 10 for their coverage of the Cyclone. Firstly, with the Late News being live tonight (in most markets), and secondly their extended rolling coverage from 2-4pm tomorrow afternoon (after the Lunchtime News from 1-2pm).

I don’t think the late news is live tonight? Fairly sure they were referring to tomorrow night.

Oh, I see. I misread it from my end. Apologies. Good to have it live tomorrow night then. Wish it was live every night, but that’s a whole other discussion in itself. lol.

So does that mean it’s at 9:30pm in Brisbane?

Local guides I’d assume from now will be accurate as 10 seem to be on the front-foot with this.

EDIT: 9.40pm AEST according to guides.

10’s TV guide has their coverage listed across the whole 4 hour broadcast, showing from 12:00pm-4:00pm in Qld.

10 News: Tracking Cyclone Alfred

10 News First presents the latest expert insights into Tropical Cyclone Alfred’s development as the storm progresses across multiple regions.

Just noticed a goof with a four-way cross at around 2.15pm AEST, and why has 10 opted to drop the first from the special coverage title?

New opener to the Qld news this evening!!

Almost looked like a promo of sorts… just caught the end of it.

Looked good.

Anyone get caps/video of it?

Capitalising on the increased audience I suppose. No headlines tonight. It was an excellent promo- like the old eyewitness one about ‘your city, your state, your world’. The only thing I would say is that it should have had more recent grabs about the cyclone.

Agreed, was expecting to see that - may be updated to reflect that later once they have more vision.
