I just mean the constant Bev bashing. It’s pretty cyclical about questioning her competency.
I in no way am defending her but it’s same same circle of conversation. “Why is she there etc”
Most people in this forum are wouldn’t have any inside knowledge of the business structure, decisions, what someone’s performance is managed against etc.
Obviously she’s in the role for a reason for the period of time that she has been.
Here is Narelda’s exclusive interview with Jamie Oliver. Halfway through the video, they were joined by Mundanara Bayles, managing director of BlackCard, a specialist consultancy providing cultural capability training and consultancy services to enable people and organisations to work effectively with members of the Aboriginal community.
I’m not a helicopter pilot, but if the same pilot kept getting stuck in the same tree every few years, and they were still a pilot, I’d be wondering what’s going on.
I too have that in my work and have daily conversations about the same challenge. However… there is always a reason someone is still there. Whether that’s a mate saving them or covering for them who know…
So I know the internal feelings about those who may be there.
But it’s just the same convo that happens surrounding her and maybe I was too dismissive about it, I’ll that take. It’s just nothing new and that’s what my original comment was about.
Something is keeping her in there, so I can’t see her leaving anytime soon.
We just shake our heads and ask how so many good people can leave before something is done. Including these latest cuts where just over 10 people were made redundant.
There were more cuts today. You won’t see it in any press whatsoever but 10 have decided to outsource their Traffic department after 6 years of doing it in house. Around a dozen people got their marching orders. Most of them were based at TVQ which means that huge building is becoming a ghost town.
MCN were doing the commercial scheduling (Traffic) for 10 for several years up until late 2018. Then CBS decided to bring it back in house. A full Traffic team were assembled at TVQ in the basement offices formerly occupied by the ABC. A couple of weeks later they brought the Sales teams back in house as well. CBS were throwing money around like confetti back then. When the ViacomCBS merge happened things started to get screwed down. Now it’s reached breaking point hence today’s decision.
