It does look better without all the faux wood, from that angle it actually looks like the space is bigger. They really need to hide all the cords and that behind the desk beneath the panels. Agree that the backdrop should be able to be changed between summer/winter if they can’t fit or afford to have screens in their place.
When I saw Alan at the desk I immediately thought it must be a double header but Rebecca must still be on holidays.
Have any South Australians noticed any other visible differences in the presentation of the Adelaide bulletin?
Not a massive change to the set from what I can see from picture but they’ve obviously removed the wood features, a new or refurbished desk, refreshed lighting & built the tv screen on the left hand side into a panel. Now they just need to add Alan Murrell as a double header with Rebecca Morse.

Adelaide set refresh looks great, including the desk which has been updated (no more wooden top).
Much better, although it is a shame they have a very small studio. Any caps or videos with the new set for the Vault?

Agree. Both are really great presenters from what I have seen.
I daresay Sydney will be next to receive the updates, removing the wood features and potentially a new desk. Although Perth probably desperately needs an set/studio update more than they do.
I wish Brisbane had been finished properly, with a proper bulkhead and panels either side of the screens to hide the previous set given how big the space is.
Sydney definitely needs a new desk, it is so small. As for Brisbane, I couldn’t agree more. Space is not the issue in QLD, maybe money is, but a more similar set to Melbourne with the standing plasma would be greatly improve.
Really? I know that Ten has BBL cricket to air from 4pm until 11pm but would it really be that hard to have coverage on One while a news bulletin (even if it’s just 20 minutes long) is airing on the main channel? Or a short bulletin just before/after the coverage?
Seven and Nine usually keep their bulletins on nights they have sporting commitments (even if it has to air at an earlier/later time) and do you know why? Because it’s a massive opportunity to expose new viewers to the news service and to promote the news during the sporting coverage generally!
I’m not sure about everyone else, but Ten deciding not to air it’s news on many weekends due to sporting commitments actually discourages me from watching their news even on weeknights! For what it’s worth I think Ten do an OK job at their news but I for one can’t/won’t commit to a news service that’s on “when it feels like”! Thoughts?
Couldn’t have said it better myself. If Ten doesn’t want to help itself, what do you expect?
Even better, they could simply air a bulletin in the innings break of the 1st game. You have around a 10 - 15 minute window which is okay for a short bulletin plus you get to expose your news service to a wider audience. It’s a win/win situation for Ten
Ridiculous. On a nightly basis Ten airs The Project in it’s regular timeslot and shows the BBL on OneHD in QLD. Why can’t it just do the same with the weekend news bulletin? Ten needs to make news a priority again.
Stupid to not have either a news bulletin before the BBL or after it. They need eyeballs on their needs service and this is the perfect way to get it to happen. #failure
