Still to this day, the 2005-2008 theme and look was probably the best 10 have ever had.

The 95-05 music slaps the best, but I loved the original aerial imagery with 10 News First.

05 is still my unicorn that we haven’t got a clean full length version yet.

I know it’s different but I just see a lot of similarities with 9 News with the globe and the outer ring look.

Think someone needs to tell the social media teams the ‘first’ on FB pages needs to go, ala X version.
Loving the logo.
The blue and globe remind me of Nine, while the 10 News logo, especially the stacked variant is very US local network.

Maybe I am seeing things, but last week I thought the way the 10 News logo animates in the latest promo makes the zero look like a globe briefly 
News First era was the worst theme IMO. 2011 second worst.
2005 and Eyewitness News were are my favourite. Eyewitness had so much authority behind it and I don’t think it was really used to its full extent on air.

All social handles have been changed, but Facebook display names take a bit of time.

10 usually does this. They have a habit of when first launching the brand they go all out with using different bits of the theme then over time they scale back. I remember when 10 re launch Eyewitness News and they used to use a different bit of the bed during the opener (in some markets) then after time it was phased out.

Yeah I agree it’s bizarre. Even the way in which you can recut that theme to make it fresh for an opener. I did have it on YouTube but the account got false reported and pulled sadly.

I think even in QLD before 2020 centralisation News First had a different theme post voiceover title card compared to other markets. They had a different closing theme for Eyewitness News too.

The current screens (centre one especially) are getting pretty burned out….
