Good on 10 for having a bit of fun with their news page icons

Sport Tonight reported on the outcome of the SOO so must live

At least tonight. It’d be embarrassing if they don’t report on the biggest matchup of the day.

Last night’s Late News was shortened to 30 minutes, as Sports Tonight Weekly Kick Off aired after that. Any numbers on that (if possible please)?

Good to see the Late News getting some boosts lately on Mondays and Tuesdays, due to a better lead-in that other nights.

I haven’t seen an explainer (by the presenter) done in the Sydney 5PM News before, after the first story. Did this happen in elsewhere? Very late news esk.

Not that I saw

Ang used to do wall explainers a lot back when Lunchtime was in the main studio

Worrying that media diary has yet again brought up that 10 is seeking to pay seven or nine to produce its news bulletins a shit down its own news division. Would be a sad day for journalism and also diversity in news media in this country if another news sources is shut down and 10 just becomes a relay station with no original reporting. You’d imagine the product would be no frills, cheap and tacky.

Yes, it’s horrendous - government should not allow them to broadcast and have the opportunity to make money if they don’t maintain their own news division and there should be serious limitations around Paramount and other streamers if they choose to take a no news or outsourced news route (eg: those streamers should not operate in this country).

I’ve said it before - Ten should make a whole lot more news, or a whole lot less news.

They have such a weird output right now - local news in 5 cities on weekdays only outside of prime time, with no proper internet presence and nothing before lunchtime.

It doesn’t make sense, so it’s no wonder it keeps getting reviewed.

Surely it’d be considered an anti-competitive practice. I don’t see how it’s even possible.

Media Diary is also full of venomous bs, so I would take what I read there with a spoonful of salt.

Have we seen anything more out of Perth since this mysterious green screen set?
Do we know where that came from?

Could Narelda present the Lunchtime News a few days a week from Perth? It is a green screen set-up. It would be 11am or 10am during daylight savings time.

Perth is physical.

NO!

Perth Weather is now done from a green screen instead of in the studio.

Yes, but they have used the green for weather previously.

Worrying that anyone would take anything Steve Jackson writes seriously. Media Diary is a shadow of what it once was

10 News Melbourne is doing a viewer competition in which you can win a $200 Coles gift card. It starts next Monday (June 8).

Interesting move on 10s part.
Guessing something tied to Masterchef given it’s Coles?
