I believe the movie was titled that exactly or without the 's in it.
Very interesting, especially since they are using the news logo rather than the network one.
Good to see them trying something new, but wonder what the point is?
Trying to sell this long running show to audiences on the main channel, a localised opener makes it appear more familiar? Testing the appetite for a local version?
Still think the use of the news brand is interesting, like what’s the connection there
Maybe - just maybe - 10 are testing the waters to try something for a Sunday Night/Spotlight/60 Minutes/ACA style program calling it 10 News First: Crime Time???
I think 48 hours is produced by CBS News so perhaps they think the output is from the news division then they’re going to use presenters from their news division. I could be wrong though.
If there is an Australian intro - would that make it as “Australian” to fill the “local content quota”?
If nothing else, helps cross promote the news? Though I would have used Ursula Heger as a reminder for people to stick around for the late news.
I think they may have played the wrong intro tonight. It was the same intro they aired last week. Hugh talked about the Menendez brothers case which was last week’s “48 Hours” episode.
This is bang on what 10 should be doing more of. I’ve long advocated for more crime factuals being played post 9pm. Easy to fill slots with lots of CBS crime content and bookend with local talent.
Bondi Rescue and Dessert Masters will also be rested this year.
Hunted too.
Very surprised about Thank God You’re Here, maybe that came from Working Dog - they didn’t want to overdo it or availability of Celia maybe? For 10 to say they don’t have a slot for it is laughable. They’ve got slots to fill where several shows aren’t returning.
As expected, The Dog House to go Wednesdays presumably to fill the gap between Survivor 3 nights a week and Gogglebox on Thursdays.
It also says Taskmaster is for Thursday nights, to air in a later slot after Gogglebox or once it finishes its run? I’ve long said Taskmaster should be in the post 8:30 slot, it’s never fired for 10 in an earlier slot across 3 seasons.
The current season of The Graham Norton Show, now on Thursday nights, is expected to finish in March, with Claudia Winkleman as guest host while Graham embarks on his Australian tour. I think Taskmaster will take over Graham’s slot.
10 have done a switcheroo and this will be pleasing to the people asking for an earlier slot for the Late News
From next week 10’s Late News will air at around 10pm, meaning the show that was airing in that slot will move to around 10.25.

A sensible decision for once. The ratings the week before must’ve been better for the late news than the tripe they aired at 10 this week.
Well done.
It seems like Ten are missing/lacking an appropriate non-repeat show for post I’m A Celebrity on Monday and the earlier time for The Project and The Late Show identifies a similar issue on Thursday.
IMO The Late Show should not screen before 12am in Australia due to it already being days behind. In an ideal world, they would do what Nine did and screen Tuesday Night/Wednesday Morning to Saturday Night/Sunday Morning each week. 48 Hours that they have now removed from main channel could screen Monday nights at around midnight and encored Saturday night with The Late Show
It’s all coming together
BUT will they do a 1989 and stuff it all up again?
