I don’t always defend them though, getting rid of JLP was stupid and not renewing The Traitors etc. another mistake. I just prefer them to 7 and 9 and prefer their reality shows etc. There’s enough agro in the world without 7 and 9’s toxic reality garbage and their biased news.
Are we allowed to speculate on 2026 upfronts here?
If so, from ten this year I am hoping for:
- celebrity traitors
- I’m a celebrity- all stars edition
- Millionaire (and host Amanda Keller confirmed)
- Masked singer to return
- TGYH to return
- Family Feud to return (prime time)
- new 7pm chat show/light ent show
- Expanded seasons of gogglebox (including celeb)
- Final confirmed deets on big brother reboot (and first look at the house)
- hopefully no more dog shows
- Major announcement: AGT

Celeb traitors a big yes please
I’m a celebrity all stars - questionable the great thing about is hearing new stories from celebs.
Millionaire - still not a fan.
Masked singer - lost its appeal.
TGYH - never should have been rested.
Family feud - no been done be creative
7pm talk show - they won’t do it too expensive
AGT - be creative recycling old shows should never be allowed again

IDK about Masked Singer or Family Feud
I think Masked Singer ran its course unless they throw the cheque book at it and get true A-List names.
And Family Feud in prime time didn’t work when it ran in prime time back in 2020 (literally nothing else on with Covid), so how will it work now.
IAC - IDK if it’s All-Stars … maybe “Jungle Legends V Jungle Newbies” (working theme title) - there can be enough interesting new contestants with new gossip to share, and they can be really selective with the returnees (either fun characters picks, people who have a redemption story from their last season or people who have new stories & gossip since they first played). I also think it has potential for a comedic dynamic (newbies are all shocked at the jungle life, returnees are accustomed to the quirks of jungle life & the challenges).
I don’t mind the rest of the line up, except maybe they need something in the comedic space too (especially if 10 want to continue to pride themselves in comedy space, especially without The Project and the comedy platform that provided)
Maybe I Literally Just Told You (British format with OG version hosted by Jimmy Carr (I think Ed Kavaler for the Aussie version?) plays into playful play along at home vibe similar to 1% Club, without being a rip-off) or Match Game/Blankety Blank (some nostalgia but also has a successful reboot in the US with Martin Short + the format has some contemporary awareness from Drag Race (where a common challenge is basically a MG parody)
Maybe if the local airing of Aussie Office goes well, they also co-commission season 2 with Amazon (gives a timeslot companion to fellow sitcom Aussie Ghosts)
