For 2026

The award-winning observational documentary series Taronga: Who’s Who In The Zoo returns for its seventh season, taking viewers on another all-access journey behind the scenes of Taronga Zoo Sydney and Taronga Western Plains Zoo.

Australian actress Lisa Hensley joins the program as the new narrator, with her celebrated voice guiding viewers through the extraordinary world of the keepers, veterinarians and specialists caring for the zoos’ furry, feathered and scaly residents.

Season seven delivers an unforgettable look at modern animal care – from delicate eye surgery on an ageing sea lion and emergency hospital care for a senior koala, to the staggering logistical feat of relocating a 1.7-tonne rhinoceros and bidding farewell to the western lowland gorillas.

From groundbreaking breeding programs and cutting-edge technology to hands-on enrichment and vital field research, the core message of Taronga remains steadfast: ensuring a shared future for both wildlife and people.

Taronga: Who’s Who In The Zoo is produced by McAvoy Media for the 9Network.

Lisa’s most recent TV credit was playing the role of Maxine Nelson in Acorn TV drama Darby and Joan last year.
