Also, I heard some news from someone at big W when I was visiting Altona Meadows one of the managers told me Even though we have one in Altona Meadows The person that works here was telling me that I asked if big W is getting more stores around the country and she says They’re trying to get more stores in the country.
Here are Future locations that I would like to see Big W That could be coming Victoria in the future?
i hope Big W grows to at least 50 to 60 stores
For the first stage if it ever happens
1 Knox
2 Northland
3 Airport West
4 Warrnambool
5 Warragul
6 Delacombe
7 Chadstone
8 Bairnsdale
9 Greensborough
10 Plenty Valley or Mernda
11 Swan Hill
For Delacombe To have a similar Toowoomba type with two stores for Ballarat
For Knox Northland Airport West Warrnambool Chadstone and Greensborough And possibly plenty valley these stores could probably replace target

Also, I heard about in Greensborough that the target is on its way out
And I also heard that Greensborough plaza needs to be renovated
If it was to be renovated, I would add some new stores They would be if target gets replaced I think level one could go to big W. Well the other level could either go to Woolworths or Aldi Even though I think Aldi could probably move into the old target level 2 area To make room for possibly the Woolworths and they could move there outside location and place it into Aldi’s old area
The employment services They really need to be removed from the Plaza. Why do we have employment services and community centres in the shopping centre? That is ridiculous? They really need to take them out along with some nail salons and the massage place in the flight place needs to be taken out and maybe Sculli bros Should move into Woolworths Outside area To have a larger and mega space And use it for the employment services and the other stuff while Greensborough needs to have a Fountain gate level type shopping centre

Or Saccas could take Woolworths Outside area.

I think a few of the big suburban ones in Sydney and Melbourne will survive too.

Parramatta and Chadstone the most likely, A good chance that any surviving stores will be smaller as well.

If Myer does not come up with a better revival plan then expect to only see one store each in SA, WA, TAS and ACT (The CBD Stores) as well as the CBD, a few suburban and regional stores in VIC, NSW and Queensland in coming years ahead.

Well, that’s stating the obvious.

Mosaic Brands, which owns budget clothing brands Millers, Katies, Noni B and Rockmans, announced a temporary pause in trading on the ASX on Wednesday.

The company’s share price nosedived 13 per cent in the wake of the decision, as it revealed it had appointed Deloitte to advise on ‘refinancing considerations’.

These smaller retailers will be doing it tough for the next few years, Glue Store is another chain pulling back. I think we still have too many retailers when looking at our population. I’d expect these smaller chains to pull out of smaller centres and really focus on the big trading malls.

I’d feel they kinda need to do the opposite, find mid-sized malls where you’re maybe up against just a Kmart or Big W, so can have a quality or range advantage against a department store, rather than trying to pull customers away from other fashion retailers with stronger branding.

Glue for example just seem to sell stuff that other retailers do - be it the Myer/DJs, or in many big malls, the brands have their own stores. Not surprised they can’t find a good market segment there.

We don’t less retailers where you just have the same chains in every shopping centre you visit. I once often visited other shopping centres around the suburbs because they had different shops and different products but I seem to do that less often now since they’re all the same.

You’re better off with more retailers where you get more variety and therefore more competition.

Though i know some people who don’t like the big centres because they are too hard to get in and out of and are too busy. The smaller ones have most of what they need anyway.

Cadbury to double price of Freddo Frogs and Caramello Koalas in first price hike in a decade

On Friday morning, Cadbury announced the beloved Freddo Frog and Caramello Koala will jump from $1 to $2.

Cadbury explained the first change to the product in more than decade is the result of increasing cocoa prices.

That’s a crazy price increase.

“RRP” - so it’ll do the same 50% off dance their chocolate bars do.
