The closest the current logo gets to the Eastwood store:
I drive past it occasionally but didn’t realise the internal logos hadn’t been updated. The nearby Marsfield store was also only updated in the last few years.

I’ve posted this previously of what can be seen from street level of you look up, but thought I’d see what Google Earth could see of the big mosaic S at my local supermarket. It’s only q glimpse of you know it’s there, but these were covered over decades ago. Nice that this one survives albeit hidden.
Auto reply for sure and a stupid one at that. I would change it and remove the words “reach out” with “thanks for contacting us”. The words reach out is used far too much these days it’s dreadful. It’s a pet hate of mine. If it is in any document that I can change I change it.
The Eastwood store is also a weird format and is in quite a run down shopping centre. Usually in such cases they are waiting for development approval or the shopping centre is being difficult.
There have been plans to redevelop the Eastwood shopping centre into a bigger mall with new apartments constructed above since 2016. A development was approved in 2019 but has since stalled. I’d say Woolworths has plans to be part of that redevelopment.
The development involves construction of a mixed use development proposing 7 buildings. The uses within the buildings include retail, commercial & residential. The development will contain retail space, commercial space (including office, gym & medical centre) and 443 residential apartments.
You must be fun at parties
No more fun than anyone else. Noone used to use the term prior to a few years ago now it is everywhere. The phrase is apauling and the social media team should stop using it.
It’s interesting that the development had been stalled. It’s possible the council may also be involved as well.
My local supermarket is totally out of Hans branded products for some reason in the egg/cheese isle.
I notice with the price increase of Meadowlea margarine at $4.50 from $5 to $5.50 now the specials say save $1
Or Chobani at $1 it says below half price but it had gone back up to $2.25 from $1.70.
I can’t remember the name of the company but one of the major meat produces that is basically the backbone of Hans was hit very hard with Covid so this is probably why.
Looks pretty awful, but I suppose it’s not like the old Woolworths Limited logo ever really had much in the way of prominence.
I ended up buying ham steaks from Coles … surprisingly they are 100 percent Aussie pork vs imported for the Hans. Smells like ham off the bone smell. The price difference was $1.50 per ham steak vs $1.33 for Hans so not much more.
There is something terribly uncomfortable about this logo. Wrong era? Wrong font? Not sure, but it’s revolting.
When I saw it I thought they had been hacked or something! I also double checked I wasn’t on the South African Woolworths site. Very strange.

This looks really cool
Woolies should be using Icons in W style more often.
A few here have been mentioning price hikes in supermarkets in recent months.
Since last week, the price of soft drinks in the fridges near the checkouts have sky-rocketed. I would often go into Coles or Woolies for a bottle of Pepsi Max 600ml for $3. Both supermarkets pushed the price up to $3.65 last week.
22% increase in price. WTF?
Soft drink prices and especially post mixes are insanely overpriced in Australia
I only noticed the other day but the kirks 10 packs at Woolworths that were $6.20 normal price are now $10.55. That’s how bad the price increases are at the moment
