Super Radio Network

Agree.

It’s just bittersweet that they’re celebrating by going local just like the old days.

A shame that regional stations can’t go local these days on a Saturday night.

I’m sure there are a tonne of upcoming radio announcers who’d love to do a live & local request show on a Saturday.

I’d be at peace hosting a live and local Saturday night request show on commercial radio. I’ve hosted a Saturday Night show on the community station in Lismore for close to a year now - it has been good fun, but there isn’t much engagement which is a shame :(.

2TM in Tamworth have begun a new weekly program to promote Australian Country Music, the 2TM Australian Country Music Chart. It will commence this Friday 22nd May (the following article said 23rd May, which is a Saturday) at 4-5pm.

I reckon they meant Saturday. Can’t see a show like this airing during Friday drive.

I’d say the opposite… Saturday afternoons is networked across all BOG AM and FM stations.

2TM is local till 5pm weekdays, so I’d say it’s a Friday arvo countdown.

Bill wouldn’t be happy if listeners lost the ‘brilliant’ weekend AM network feed.

… I wonder if Bill knows that 2TM is cutting into 2hrs of Talkin’ Sport? …

Hill FM has posted this on their facebook page today:

Change is coming June 1st
Are You Ready??

Any ideas?

That page doesn’t work anymore, so maybe it’s a new page!

Still works for me, try this:

Thanks, that works.

No idea what the change could be.

Oh no, apparently this is their station website:

https://djman996.wixsite.com/website?fbclid=IwAR2BHUee4r5R2hhkPIin_5ThN01uzIIr5Gbj85eusoUJSQ2sZfxOIFvDJQA

Who the hell thought that was a great url?

Could they not even call the wix account Hill FM?

Interesting that their studio phone number is still linked to their original 106.9 frequency.

Probably can’t afford to change it.

Probably just a new logo… a makeover like Max107.3.

Yeah I was thinking something along those lines. It would be a bit strange for them to promote such a small change like this though, but I have definitely seen much weirder things.

The website is fairly up to date. I was wondering about why content from NEW FM was starting from 10.30 AM, then remembered that Broken Hill are half an hour out. There are a few issues though - the iHeartRadio Countdown is now hosted by Kian Oliver, and the Fresh Nights Trending 20 is now hosted by Lizzie, but other than that, it’s fine

The website itself may be adequate (only just imo), but “djman996.wixsite.com” doesn’t really scream Hill FM to me.

Yes, can’t imagine a Hill FM announcer saying go to https://djman996.wixsite.com/website?fbclid=IwAR2BHUee4r5R2hhkPIin_5ThN01uzIIr5Gbj85eusoUJSQ2sZfxOIFvDJQA

Everyone at BOG should hire me and I’ll create them an amazing website, a thousand times better then a wix website. :stuck_out_tongue:

This to me looks like it piggy backs off fellow Announcer Andrews own website who nickname is DJMan

Maybe it is piggy backing off that website until it is built, then hopefully get its own URL? Unless it was put there on purpose to see how good the people on MediaSpy are at finding BOG websites and giving some constructive criticism :joy:. Think the first option is more likely though.
