I totally understand why Sunrise has been travelling to Currumbin for 15 years for their Dawn Service. It’s an absolutely beautiful and moving service each year.

Interesting how the grabs being used in the news updates, from the earlier chat with the finance expert about inflation, just mention the negatives. The overwhelming message of the whole conversation was the extremely good news story about how inflation has improved significantly in the last 2 years.

Budgets must be low as that’s the third OB I’ve seen where they are using the old logo prints on the OB desk…

Probably think money can be better spent on other things rather than a logo print on a desk for an event that happens once a year.

To whoever writes the scripts on Sunrise:
It doesn’t sound right in the extra headlines after the main opener for them to say, “Still to come”, when it’s 5.30am and the show is just commencing.
I’ve heard this many times now; and again this morning.

Nat being asked about her “booked leave” yesterday at the Gold Coast OB, when briefly discussing the ‘sickie’ topic of today and then joking about it, just came across as lame and unnecessary, why have viewers know that, they’ll just troll her anyway

Sunrise making a big deal of a federal poll conducted by the Courier Mail (!!) saying Dutton is the preferred PM in the state.
I need to move. I no longer fit in with these people

The Australian reports Weekend Sunrise has been overhauled following the April 14 broadcast (the morning after the Bondi Junction stabbing attacks). Sources told the paper that multiple staff had since left the program, including two producers.
