When Katy Perry and Keith Urban previously co-hosted, I’m sure they were there for quite some time.
But it was only for part of the show. The advertising inferred that they were hosting the whole show. I think they both only hosted a few segments probably not even an hour and people felt that they were lied to and rightly so.
I seriously doubt anyone felt lied to, nor expected they would do the whole show. From memory. I’m thinking Katy did 8am until the end of the show, and Keith may have done 7-8am.
Keith was a part of a celebrity host week, along with Ray Martin and Danny Green. He did a whole show. While the idea worked for TMS, perhaps it wasn’t a good fit for Sunrise and perhaps why Katy and Niall were only the last hour when they tried again a few years later… or they were just bigger stars.
Colin Fassnidge and Chris Issac (who was in Australia filming The X Factor) rounded out the week I’m pretty sure.
Sam Mac will be on Better Homes and Gardens next Friday (September 29) chatting with host Johanna Griggs.
A good reason to give it a miss.
Sally in for Mon this morning with Belling news
And Katie Brown is out reporting covering some of the lead up to the footy finals.
A great team of reporters covering all the sports stories today.
Interesting shot for the travel story this morning, with Matt and Sally standing in front of the sofa, using the soft set screen and the one behind th desk over their shoulders.
Wasn’t quick enough to capture it.
Also seen. The AFL coverage was notably more prominent than the the NRL reporting with no dedicated reporter in Brisbane for that story.
Glad they’re using Sally as Mon’s fill-in now, as opposed to Ange Cox (gone off her a bit). Her and Matt work really well together.
And both Matt and Sally are Morning Show fill in hosts, so very versatile, but keeping it in the Sunrise/TMS family.

Kylie was interviewed from London. Also appeared on Today.
These chairs don’t seem high enough for the table.
Applauding the arrival of NASA’s spacecraft in the style of the NASA control room.
The guests knees are touching the top of the table. How could the chair go any higher?
It must be done if the guest is a shortarse.
Otherwise the host looks like a giant.
