Sunrise (2020-Feb 2025)

I’m not convinced that’s the Sunrise space.

Those graphics look nice and fresh. Hoping they have their own set.

i think the soft set might be behind the camera, on the opposite side of the set.

Well they only have 2 studios now. It would make sense for set pieces to be rolled into this studio infront of the LED wall.

I’d argue if it’s not being used for the set, why have custom graphics been made for it inclusive of the desk?

The desk graphics don’t even fit the desk. Look how stretched it is.

I hope I’m wrong though.

I don’t see it stretched at all? Looks like the design to me?

Fair enough. Just looks like a lot of white to me.

Could very well be, but I find it interesting how the circular arches in the background conform to the wide screen’s shape.

Noticed a couple of things to note, there’s some subtle glass lettering seen at the top-left corner and bottom centre of the screen:

And this screen graphic with the arched light orange and white combo is interesting, haven’t seen this style used before, you can also see the glass letters at the top faintly:

Those graphics look quite promising. Softer angles are better for breakfast. Hopefully they drop the black supers too, which features prominently in the current package.

This is probably a silly dumb question but i take it that TMS will share a set with Sunrise?

I believe thats the idea yes. Like now, same set but changing screens and lighting.

Matt Doran appeared in-studio this morning reporting on the latest William Tyrell developments.

Seven utilise Doran well. Good to have a go to person to call in for major events.

I think they’ll need to now that the main co-host of the show isn’t a news person.

I think if there was to be one main anchor of the show (and I doubt there is that perception within Seven) it’s Nat, as she is the most experienced and been on the show for more than 20 years.
That kind of stuff occurred in the U.S and here in Australia in the 80’s and 90’s (NBC Today is a classic example), but not so much now.

sorry I meant to delete ‘main’ and just say ‘co-host’

Sunrise has always had 2 strong journalists hosting, now they have 1.

So are we going to have this pointed out for the next 21 years?
