Not sure how much weight can be given to a News Corp presenter speculation article. However, two portions of it are worth at least highlighting:
Regarding Matt Shirvington:
Network executives were said to be impressed with the 44-year-old’s natural presenting during a lengthy stint filling in as co-anchor.
As for who reportedly has Kochie’s backing:
Kochie has been reported to favour the network’s prized news reporter and presenter Michael Usher.

I don’t think Sunrise have anything to worry about. They weathered through every change from Mel Doyle to now. It’ll be fine.

I think Nat and Mon would be a great combo but it seems everything is pointing to Matt Shirvington which is disappointing.
If we ever get to have Nat and Mon then we can have Shirvo and Doro on weekends

Can we stop all the whingeing? He hasn’t even been announced yet. Anyway, if the polls are any indication, Shirvo is the most popular candidate. I’m sure Seven have done some research on who the public prefer.
