Derryn Hinch back on NewsFeed today, but still no Gretel. Do we take it that she is not returning?
How long has it been since she was last on? Maybe she’s on holidays, or is sick?
Yes once - last year when she co-hosted with Monique when Matt was unable to come into the studio due to Sydney’s wet weather.

Justin Smith and Suzanne Mostyn on Newsfeed today- no Angela Mollard or Ron Wilson?
Along with Gretel no longer on Saturdays, I’ve noticed a few other changes to the weekday Newsfeed segment as well.
I’ve never really understood why Sally hasn’t been used to fill in for Monique.

My thoughts are just maybe previous bosses didn’t think Sally had the skills for hosting,but now she has had the opportunity and shown she is more than capable so will probably be Monique’s main fill in going forward instead of Angela Cox.
Another plus if Sally is in the hosting chair we might get to see the fabulous Tarsh Belling more often filling in as newsreader.

It will be interesting to see how often Tarsh pops up on Sunrise/Weekend Sunrise, because she said in an interview a few months ago that she really enjoys her podcast because she gets to give her opinions on the news, whereas she feels more restricted as a newsreader.

He presented an award with Today’s Allison Langdon at the Logies last night.
If you were watching Sunrise this morning you’d think there were just 2 Logies awarded plus the Hall of Fame. I don’t think they have so far mentioned or reported who won the Gold!

I wonder why Kochie and Nat weren’t at the Logies
They don’t care and seemingly 7 don’t put any/much effort in.

And why would they? There were many years where Kochie and Mel were the hottest property on tv, as was Sunrise, and they never picked up an award… but someone like Karl (last night described as host of the number 3 breakfast program) wins Gold!

I don’t blame them for not being there. Sunrise has been Number 1 for years and reimagined breakfast TV in Australia. They had some of the biggest moments in Aussie TV yet were never recognised with a Logie win. Karl wasn’t even on the most popular TV show in his time slot yet gets nominated and even won Gold.
