Kochie left sick at around 5.55. He has laryngitis.
Beretts now co-hosting with Nat.
6am intro readjusted to say “here’s Nat and Mark”… Nat did the 5.30 (and subsequent) opener solo.
Edit: Musher joined Nat at 7am
Now Michael Usher is in from 7am
No sunrise Perth news today !!
Why could they not just leave Mark as co-host?
He seems to be good enough for weekends.
Nat said it is a ‘tainted chair’ after Kochie had to leave. So tainted Mark and Matt Doran seem to never be able to sit there on a weekday.
A bit of a joke maybe, because there might be a chance Kochie has Covid?
I got it was a joke. Nat is very funny and has been a great permanent co-host.
He already had covid a few weeks ago.
Also, a shame they didn’t let Beretts stay in the hosting chair for the rest of the morning.
So?
Kochie caught covid after the flood appeal, about 6 weeks ago. You’d think it would be unlikely to get it again so soon, in fact almost impossible for at least a month after the first diagnosis.
Yes maybe so, but everyone is different!
If there was a chance he had COVID he would not have been on air at all this morning.
Even with laryngitis, he probably shouldve steered clear for a few days
My covid symptoms began with what I thought was simply ‘laryngitis’. I was wrong. Hopefully it’s not the case for Kochie.
Believe it or not, other illnesses still exist.
Broadcasters and other people who use/elevate their voice to make a living are at a higher susceptibility of getting laryngitis. He probably thought he could get through the show by managing his voice. Not the end of the world.
And we know he frequents AFL matches and screans and shouts
