Iâve seen in the coming soon section on Stan that NZ tv series âFar northâ is apparently coming to Stan. I didnât even realise P+ had lost this.
They dropped it back in Feb when a heap of local and acquired content left the streamer.
Itâs quite a good series, worth the watch.

Watching episode one of the BBC miniseries Lost Boys & Fairies and there is a flashback scene to the 1980s watching television where we see the very distinctive Australian Grim Reaper AIDS Ad campaign. Was not aware it was shown in the UK or was it used because it was so distinctive and scary.

**Stan today released the trailer for the brand new film Arcadian starring Nicolas Cage (Stan Original Film The Surfer, Dream Scenario), Jaeden Martell (IT, Knives Out), Maxwell Jenkins (Lost In Space), and Sadie Soverall (Saltburn), premiering July 20, only on Stan.
Arcadian takes place in a near future, where normal life on Earth has been decimated. Paul (Nicolas Cage) and his two sons, Thomas (Maxwell Jenkins) and Joseph (Jaeden Martell), have been living a half-life â tranquillity by day and torment by night. Every night, after the sun sets, they face the unrelenting attacks of a mysterious and violent evil. One day, when Thomas doesnât return home before sundown, Paul must leave the safety of their fortified farm to find him. Just as he finds his boy, a nightmarish battle ensues that forces the family to execute a desperate plan to survive.
Arcadian is directed by Benjamin Brewer (Everything Everywhere All At Once), and written by Michael Nilon (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent). According to The Sunday Telegraphâs Phil Rothfield, Stan has bought The Promise, a film created by former ABC rugby league commentator Craig Hamilton, and dedicated to mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Stan will screen the documentary over three years.
The Promise is directed by Jye Currie and produced by Green Frog Productions.

Note: Horizon: An American Saga will be released in Australian cinemas next Thursday, July 4, before streaming on Stan from September 26.
Stan seems to just have a deal with Madman for the films they distribute. Weird theyâre saying they âsecured the rightsâ. I doubt they did much. Of course, works out well that it ends up on the same streamer as Yellowstone.
