Back over on ABC…
The Melbourne 7 News desk without lower third graphics in the way (except 7 News Live bug)
And some more 3d cube transitions:

Seven’s election graphics look like something produced by a local Indonesian news channel. Woeful. Can’t believe they kept it from the Queensland election.
Nine’s wheeled out Amanda Vanstone again.
ABC has been good so far.
Suggest you look at CNN Indonesia, looks much nicer than most of our local commercial news.
Shouldn’t have Chris and Brenton co-anchoring the coverage.
Nice use of location.

Nine’s 5pm Coverage:
Will McDonald presented Nine News Adelaide 6pm News standing in front of a green screen. Tom Rehn presented sport from the station’s balcony.

7 News are also now calling a Liberal win
Jessica is now at Labor HQ, having presented the 6pm news from Parliament earlier this evening

Seven Adelaide’s graphics are horrible and the lighting for the set needs some work, its very white washed faded.

Seven should be embarrassed for that poor excuse of a set compared to what Nine have there. It is truly terrible and looks very cheap when comparing the two.

ABC, Nine and Seven have all wrapped up their coverage now.
A minor hiccup with one of the camera feeds over on 7 (but only for a second or two)

Flicking between the three from home, 9’s looked very swish- except that stupid robot. Brenton as host sounded like he was doing the Christmas Pageant not an election night, but really they don’t have many options.
7’s panel and overall program was much better and more interesting. And they of course have a much more experienced team. The stuff from inside Parliament was really good.
ABC was what you’d expect. Annabel was a little cookey as host but did a decent job, and of course Antony Green was making predictions while the others were still showing 0s.

7’s graphics (and set I guess with bringing in the Melbourne desk for extra space) was an improvement on previous elections 7 have done. Although, it’s odd saying this considering it was so long ago and their presentation you would think should get better, but, their 2010 set and graphics were the best I’ve seen on an election coverage in Australia IMO.
