Can’t 10 in Brisbane provide the news noodle updates for regional Queensland, 10 in Sydney to provide the updates for southern NSW / ACT and 10 in Melbourne to only do updates for regional Victoria?

Those state news rooms are all notoriously understaffed as it is with the various bulletins 10 are pushing out each day, there is no capacity for the staff to take on these updates as it is - investment would be needed to make it happen.
It may very well happen in future, and makes sense on paper for the states they’re produced for to take over production, but not right now.

Yep, just noticed this too.
I wonder what the point was as it’s so subtle, perhaps a bit more consistent with the rest of the current network title cards.

Perhaps 10 has supplied them with new graphics.

But it’s basically the same as the network ones, with the blue location strap saying “Local update”. No local imagery unfortunately…

Personally, the original version felt more natural with the circle motif. The blue strap always felt tacked on to me, especially how it animates and pushes the main logo up awkwardly. But the globe animation on the blue strap version is definitely superior!
It’s nice to see some consistency creep into the 10 Regional updates.

Is that how the update went to air, with the sport cut like that or just the recording?
Note the 10 News First bug doesn’t stay on screen for the entire update.

I’ve uploaded the full update to Odysee, so it shouldn’t be too much of an issue there. Uploading the full update to YT would likely result in the NRL blocking the video worldwide on copyright grounds.
