Something new: ‘chopping off’ a prerecorded cross.

What was that? Was the item old news?

If it was a timing issue, they should have dropped something else off in the bulletin or amended the weather timings. Bad producing.

I saw that too and it was just bizarre, it was relatively early in the bulletin there was no adbreak coming up and didn’t seem to be any other time constraints and if there were I’m sure they’d have been able to make them up later somehow, like in the live part of the weather at the end.

Corrupted video file perhaps? I don’t think timing would be the reason - it would have been scheduled and was a short cross anyway.

Seems like something was noticed during that play out. Kim was counted in by the looks as her pickup was seamless. Very well covered by Kim in any case.

It doesn’t matter if I call it Seven News. Plus the thread is called Seven & Ten News (SCA). The Spencer Gulf and Tasmanian bulletins are called many different names. Those names include:
Nightly News (voiceover only during the opener)
Seven Tasmania or Spencer Gulf Nightly News (by presenters and in promos)
Seven Tasmania or Spencer Gulf News (by reporters and in promos)
Seven News (by me and other people in MediaSpy and people in Spencer Gulf, Broken Hill and Tasmania)
Seven News Tasmania or Spencer Gulf (by me and other people in MediaSpy and people in Spencer Gulf, Broken Hill and Tasmania)

Just passing by! Locals generally call 7 Spencer Gulf Nightly News as ‘local news’; by its older names - ‘Central News’, ‘Southern Cross News’; or its historical names - ‘GTS/BKN’, ‘Channel 4’.

‘Seven News’ here means Adelaide’s news.
