It was always at the Today Tonight hand off around 6:38pm, after the weather. Quite often, someone was asleep in the control room and the start of Today Tonight would air, sometimes 5-10 minutes of it.
Bizarre to run it on 7Two. Wonder how long the bulletin will last now.
given how SCA is the overwhelming commercial tv force in its area, i’d say it’s safe for now.
No advertiser is going to pay the same price on 7TWO.
Not the same compared to other regional markets. SCA has the commercial monopoly on FTA, they’ve previously giving advertising packages based for several channels.
Yeah I know in the Spencer Gulf/Broken Hill they let clients book commercials right across 7 9 and 10
Advertising on TV in this market, your ad will generally appear across all ten commercial channels at some point.
Same old crummy graphics
Why not put a localized / regional backdrop?
Shari Hams (the reporter on the first story) has annoying sing-songy diction, not unlike John Hunt. Is this a feature of the local accent?!
There was a live interview done on Seven Tas news last night just after 6:30 with political scientist Richard Herr. Jo was in Launceston and Richard was in Hobart in front of the generic backdrop where they had also had the political reporter earlier in the evening doing coverage of the Will Hodgman resignation. Unfortunately, it just seemed quite awkward with a person standing there in front of a generic background, especially with Richard who isn’t normally in front of the cameras, he needed a chair or something or perhaps they could have had the political reporter doing the interview instead of Jo. I’ll try and get some caps or it might be on the online version.
Have they updated the nine news Tasmania TDT updates with the new graphics or does those 2 minute updates still sport the old graphics?
Not sure what you’re trying to point out here?
Good question. I can find out tonight if they’ve started them for this year already.
The old star logo can be seen on 2 flags in the crowd.
He can see that but he doesn’t get why it is a problem/something of note.
Then he’s in the wrong place.
Long time presenter of Southern Cross / 7 Tasmania’s evening news Jo Palmer will present her final bulletin on Friday night. It was announced on their FB page earlier today.
