Seven News Presenters and Reporters

That bitter old Sharp wouldn’t know grace or integrity even if it hit her.

A lovely and touching story of Mel tonight.

There was a lot of speculation to where she was in recent months. Now we know why she’s been off air.

I don’t mind the very random post saying “it’s been a while since we’ve see her” (or to the likes). But the constant questioning by the likes of Annette Sharpe is beyond annoying! Some other news sites were also going overboard with her disappearance. Hope they make an apology for their hounding!

Presenters will always come out with the reason why they are on extended leave.

I think a clip was run through a software and it outputs a screencap every so-and-so interval. Unfortunately that was one of the results.

Glad to hear she’s recovering.

I’d be totally embarrassed if I were Annette Sharp.

Some subtle digs by both Jason Richardson and Chris Jones, also remembering her brutal comments about Hamish McLachlan and Abbey Gelmi following the Tokyo Olympics (despite also still hosting prime time Beijing and Birmingham 2022).

Poor Mel, tragic stuff  Get well soon!

I like this lovely shot of her, in the sun, by the water fountain, in Garden Square at Melbourne Park (2018):

Lung cancer is one of the most miserable diseases you can get - even in smokers by the time they eventually die most have not touched a cigarette in 2-3 years. Anyone over the age of 60yo has also been exposed to asbestos so smoking is often not the cause. Glad Mel was diagnosed early and able to have the surgery.

No malice, just an unfavourable capture time. It’s hard to see the full size image when posting multiple captures in a grid format to one post, sorry that one got past me.

Michael Usher & Angie Asimus presenting in Sydney tonight

They presented last thursday as well, have Fergo and Ange switched to presenting 4 days a week?

Similar to last Thursday.

I think I read somewhere that Fergo would switch to four days a week this year, and it seems Ange has followed suit because if she didn’t, then Seven News Sydney would have had three different presenting duos (Fergo/Ange, Mush/Ange and Mush/Angie Asimus) through the week which IMO would’ve been quite messy.

Anette Sharp’s latest story published today has quite lengthy pieces on Kyle Sandilands and even two pieces on The Today Show.

But not one mention of Mel. No retraction, no apology, not even an update on her whereabouts.

This is part 2 of the story shown yesterday.

Last night, we shared with you the heartbreaking news that our sports presenter, Mel McLaughlin, who we all love dearly, is battling lung cancer.

A lifetime non-smoker, Mel says she wants all Australians to know the warning signs in the hope it’ll save lives.

Even if it is already messy. Like.. back when Mark & Ange first started as a duo back in 2024. You had THREE weather presenters on the Roster.

You had:

Sun - Tue: Angie Asimus

Wed - Thu: Grace Fitzgibbon

Fri - Sat: Amber Laidler

Surely they have realised - Sydney is a solo anchor market. Double-Headers never work
