Sarah could go back to just doing Spotlight. I think she is better in the field.
And perhaps people just don’t warm to Max. He is a bit robotic.

Sarah is a fine newsreader. She is just not Sharyn.
To me, it sounded like a succession planning decision. It certainly wasn’t a ratings one.
I’m pretty sure Nine said when Andrew retired that he would be replaced, so it was always planned for Melissa to get a co-anchor. The fact that Melissa continued to smash Seven (who was hampered by The Chase and no Sharyn) meant Nine could take their time to find the right co-anchor.
The presenter says her experience has much in common with other entrepreneurs whose best efforts aren’t enough.

A low front has formed for Channel Seven presenter Jane Bunn, her bespoke AI weather side hustle being voluntarily wound up with more than $300,000 owed to the Tax Office.
One of Australia’s best-known TV weather presenters, Bunn pulled the pin on the company called Jane’s Weather, which she launched in 2021, on February 19 after exhaustive attempts to secure new investment failed.

Tony at the Suns tonight - doing a walking weather presentation (totally memorised it seemed) while also passing and then kicking balls. So impressive. Max: “Well done”.
Yes, it sure is!
Remember he also did the weather on a theme park ride last year?
Channel 7 presenter Tyra Stowers confirms romance with Collingwood star Dan Houston
Melbourne has a new footy power couple – rising Channel 7 presenter Tyra Stowers and Collingwood star Dan Houston.
The brunette beauty said she and Houston, a dual All-Australian who joined the Magpies last season, connected over their dogs.
“It’s been great, we bonded over our boxer dogs would you believe haha, and we are in a really good place,” Stowers told the Herald Sun.
“I’ll now be a Collingwood supporter!”
The whereabouts of Seven sportscaster Mel McLaughlin remains under wraps with TV insiders reporting the Sydney sports personality is yet to return to work.
This column is informed McLaughlin’s bosses have been deliberately vague about the 7News presenter’s whereabouts in internal dispatches, something that has only heightened intrigue and added to speculation about the presenter’s present location.
Initially we were informed the reporter would be off air for six weeks to enjoy some “well earned leave” but that period will now stretch to eight weeks with McLaughlin not expected to return until March 15 at the earliest.
Aren’t people entitled to annual leave? Mel worked the whole cricket season over summer. Why do people care so much where presenters are?
In a lot of instances they’re insinuating they know more but can’t/won’t report it. Like the Jonathan Uptin thing a couple of years back. Not saying this is the same sort of thing but wouldn’t be surprised if there’s more than meets the eye.
But I ultimately agree - it’s not really any of our business if it’s leave or personal/health/family issues etc.
Why do people care so much where presenters are?
They don’t, apart from Annette Sharp because it justifies her miserable job lol
