It’s awesome to see Blake presenting more. He’s definitely an underused talent in terms of presenting. He’s a great reporter for sure but he’s an even better presenter.
When he interviewed me last year I told him to tell Mitch to watch out because Blake should be on weeknights

Two presenters who were dropped by their previous employers and out of work… are not really going to be in a position to negotiate high paying salaries.
I know as much about their salaries as you do (nothing), but my guess is that in this current environment 7 probably got them quite cheap.
I base this off Samantha Heathwood confirming her salary is under 200k. She is full-time and presents 4pm and weekend news in Brisbane.
So my guess is national daytime would not be significantly different to that.
I recall Blake doing a bit of everything other than reading sport at TVW. He’s always been very diverse and natural with presenting
Do we really have to bring this up again? I’ve learned from my mistakes, I admit it.. I speculated it. The only thing that got confirmed was Mark Ferguson getting $100k chopped off his salary & would be loosing his Sunday or Thursday presenting days
Even the Daily Fail who are pushing this story (probably garbage as usual) are clearly pre-empting with
‘It is RUMOURED’ or ‘there is SPECULATION’
We are not privy to anyone’s personal employment contracts, so nothing is confirmed

I read through the Daily Mail article, their headline legit says ‘Veteran Channel Seven presenter Mark Ferguson facing the chop amid Financial pressure and network rivalry with Nine’. Talk about propaganda. Ferguson hasn’t been given the chopping block & if he did, they wouldn’t be airing promos featuring him.

That looks to be Ryan Phelan. Got sacked from the Seven Network after being charged with assault after a complaint was issued to the police by his girlfriend

I think it ended up being dismissed. He now appears on Sky Racing I think.
News.com.au states he got sacked. So Seven does take this stuff seriously (Just like with Robert Ovadia)
She didn’t press charges
And eventually all charges were dropped - Hence why he is at Sky Racing now
