Samantha Heathwood’s birthday.
Still concerned as to why all Seven Brisbane’s promos have an endboard with Sarah who hasn’t been on air for months. Why not use one that actually reflects the current on air team?
I believe Sarah will be back for the second half of the year, either July or August from what I’ve heard. Katrina will have been filling in for longer than Sarah was on air.
It’s crazy, promoting a presenter in each promo that the audience barely recognises when there is popular on-air talent not credited.
Builds her brand and the combination even though she’s not there. It’s relatively new and while she’s not on, it re-enforces what their #1 team is.
Tyra is presenting weather from the Korean Festival at Federation Square tonight.
How many Tyra’s are there?

A note that Gemma was on TMS during the week in case she isn’t seen on-air again.
Update - on TMS on Monday 2/6/25
Amelia Brace departs Seven, set to join NETWORK 10
Love this line:
Yes, it does seem the formation of that national news desk will be going.
Blake is currently live on the scene reporting on a soccer riot in Richmond.
Love how he calls it an exclusive. I messaged a few people on here about this the other day.
Blake has to be one of the best live reporters in the country. That was epic

He would have received the internal message that Amelia was leaving Seven. Hardly exclusive.
And more to come. 10 must be offering up some serious money and promises to get some of the names I’ve heard.
All this before a control room for the Brisbane bulletin on 10! ![]()
You’d think they’d have to offer up a premium given the previous efforts to build news. They go large then everything gets axed and people are made redundant. There must be a directive from paramount in line with a broader global strategy. In saying that you think they’d hold off until the Skydance deal finalizes.
Interesting times ahead and given seven and to a lesser exten 9 are cost cutting the landscape is certainly evolving.
Maybe they’re deliberately doing it before the Skydance deal closes? This all sounds like a gamble, hoping it’ll be successful so that if (when!) the Skydance cost-cutters come calling, 10 can say ‘hey, we’ve invested in current affairs and we’re doing well’. It seems to me like a bit of a Hail Mary.
