09/05/2021:
Katrina Blowers is presenting the 5pm news, Sally Bowrey presented yesterday.
7 Melbourne presenter Peter Mitchell’s report on a Victorian opera singer’s battle with COVID and return to the stage aired in the news on Brisbane tonight.
I would think it was shown nationally
Monday 10 May-
Melina Sarris will be presenting Afternoon News in Melbourne today.
*Melina also presented last Monday.
Hannah Foord has jumped from 10 to 7.
You cannot say that they do not have strong reporters in Adelaide.
Sydney reporter Alex Hart is back reporting today after being on paternity leave for the last three months.
I don’t think anybody did!
Andrea Nicolas, Peter Caldicott, Deanna Williams, Lauren Rose, Tim Hatfield, Tim Yeatman, Casey Trealor, plus now Hannah and Kimberly. They have a decent cross section, which is something no other station really has.
Who are the current news directors at both Seven & Nine in Adelaide? And what are their backgrounds?
That could potentially shed some light on why the winds of change are blowing through the 6pm ratings there…
Adelaide is Chris Salter, who is nowhere near the calibre of Graham Archer and Terry Plane.
Jeremy Pudney is Nine News Adelaide’s director.
Chris Salter and Jeremy Pudney, both former crime reporters.

Legendary BTQ anchor Frank Warrick has died. He was 76.
Vale, Frank Warrick.
Naturally there will be a report on tonight’s news. Most likely on Nine as well.
One would imagine so, since Frank Warrick did have a few stints at Nine.
Could also be worth keeping an eye on the “Seven News Vault” YouTube channel in coming days to see if they post an old Brisbane bulletin with Frank presenting? Mind you, given what’s been posted there so far I don’t know if they’ve got access to old Seven News footage from all markets or just Sydney/national stuff…
Both sides of Queensland politics paid tribute to Frank Warrick this morning.
